Pivot Tables are a great tool for manipulating your data but when it comes to choosing which data source you want to manipulate the list is almost endless, especially with any flat text file, and yes, WITHOUT VBA! Here is a cheat sheet to get you started!

After playing around with Excel and PowerPoint 2007, I was very impressed at the way you can format your objects to look very Web 2.0ish, but as I use 2003 at work a lot I wanted to see if I could replicate this.

Can’t perform any date formatting on a cell because Excel doesn’t recognise its contents as an ‘actual’ date? Using the DATE() formula can help you convert a text field to a date field!
